Six Clues, One Historical Floridian
Guess who — in as few clues as you dare. (No, it's not the alligator.)
The rules of Name Drop are, as always, simple. There are six clues. They begin easy and get harder, or begin hard and get easier, depending on your definition of easy. You may guess after any clue. You get more points for guessing sooner. The alligator is not a valid guess and never has been, no matter how many of you write in.
This week's Floridian is a nineteenth-century figure who founded a town, wrote a book, and was, at the height of a controversy that has since been forgotten, briefly denounced from the pulpit of a church in Jacksonville. There are five more clues. Good luck.
