Jupiter Shore
A view of the annual migration from a beachside bluff.
The blacktips spin in the green swell just past the second sandbar where the current runs fast.
Their shadows are long slate pencils drawing lines in the turquoise floor of the Atlantic shelf.
We stand on the dune beside the oats and trace their rapid, silent arc until the sun goes down.
